Slap Chop Starship

A friend of mine has got me into the Monday Knight Productions game "Glactic Knights", the successor to the ancient "Star Fleet Wars" game using the Superior Models ships sculpts. I still have mine from the mid 80s (Aquarians, mostly), and had bought more from MKP in anticipation of playing "A Billion Suns" with them - a game, I might add, that really didn't resonate with me. With our first game coming up, I resolved to have a small fleet done by mid-October. To do that I'll need to take some cheap and dirty shortcuts, which I really don't have a problem doing with these ships. Here is the first off the production line, an Aquarian Piranha-Class Destroyer named U-96 (the word "destroyer" starts with "U" in Aquarian, really) of the 9th Aquarian Floatilla :D...
As you can see, no real fucks were given to neatness or scheme - the colors just happened as I noodled along, the only real stipulation is that my Aquarian fleet is dark grey. In fact, it's almost exactly the same scheme as the one I settled on in the 80s (but slightly better, and with less Testor's enamels). It'll be good to get these old ships back out on the table again - hope there's an option for self-destructs, because I really want to play this at least once during the game:
Shoot - didn't work - it's a video of the 10 minute countdown of the Nostromo's self-destruct sequence. Maybe I'll fix the link (no probably not ;) ).

A Lesson Learned (Wrong)

 KLAAANNGGG!

Brother-Sergeant Darius, quite simply, loved his job. As a veteran Ork hunter, it fell to him to mentor new recruits and train them in the ways of Greenie-slaughter. Today was another lesson in "how to take out stationary Ork dreadnoughts" - rather conveniently, they came across a stalled out red one not too far from base and went to work.

 KLAAANNGGG!

After ensuring the dread was blinded/immobilized, Darius climbed on top of it and had a recruit throw a good-sized stone to him. Grinning from ear to ear he began to smash the stone on the locked hatch, knowing that the greenie inside would get annoyed enough to unbutton and come out, giving the marines yet another easy kill. Glancing around, Sgt. Darius saw his recruits edging forward, bolters at the ready. "Any time now, lads. Get ready.", he said through the vox, raising the stone for yet another strike -

- quick as a snake, and as loud as a thousand rusted gates, the dreadnought's Klaw grabbed Darius around his middle and easily snipped him into two sections. In shock the squad of recruits began to fire ineffectually against the now-active dreadnought's hide.

Smeggit the gretchin was a smarter than the average Grot - he heard that some of da Boyz were being wiped out by some sneeky Beekies using the ol' "Smak da Kan Wiv a Rock" trick. Vowing to not be as stoopid as the other ladz, he patiently played dead and waited until the Beekies came around to try their trick on them. "Well, Smeggit, me old lad, so far so good.", he muttered to himself. "One Beekie Boss in two pieces, and a bunch more in flama range. Time ta cook!"

Knowing that he shouldn't, but absolutely unable to resist, Smeggit cracked the hatch just enough to give the old wun-finger salute (in stereo!), and then thumbed the trigger...

A rude lad.

I love me some 3-D printing. This model is entirely so - it doesn't appear to be a scan, but a ground-up digital sculpt based on the Rogue Trader Ork Dreadnought (Killer configuration). It's modular - there are also parts to make the Super-Attack Onslaughter variant - but I wanted to keep it simple for the first print. The rude pilot is obviously an original sculpt.

A Bad Lad at all angles.

Didn't feel too original with the paint job - when in doubt, red and simple is the way to go for Ork gear. Interestingly enough, flamers are not an option for RT era Dreads. I always liked the Ork flamer though, so I printed it anyway. If I ever use it in an RT game, it can be counts-as.

Yes, Yes, It's The Miniature From THAT Show...

...don't make a fuss about it.

The Rock wonders who this jabroni is.

Like most painters, I usually have a few different things on the go on the painting desk - mostly just to keep from wasting paint (if I have some left over from my current project, I'll put it on another miniature). I started this guy before I started the miniatures for Ral Partha Legacy, and took it over the finish line at the same time I finished the stuff in the previous post. Scratch that - I REALLY started this guy in 1984, but didn't get much further than some dark red on his back (demons are red, donchaknow). I decided to paint him for real last year, but wanted to use a Reaper paint called Retro Slate, so no all-red demon.

Blue Angel? Nooo, not really...

Looking at the pics for this guy, I probably just need to stop trying to be clever with some sort of backdrop, as these are actually decent (3D print The Rock giant looming in the background not withstanding...)

The miniature is kinda goofy and flat and wasn't super fun to paint, what with the transitions in texture and me putting contrasting colors next to each other (SO much touching up). However, it's nice and large (I put him on a 40mm base for those keeping track), so I had little trouble painting the details. Groovy critter, I'll probably use him as a warp entity or chaos spawn in future games.

I mentioned 3D prints - I have managed to do that a good bit over the past few months - I mean, you set it up, and come back a few hours lated to a (hopefully) successful print, great for how lazy I've been for the past many months. Of course, I really need to start painting them before they completely take over my painting table :/

This guy? He IS the painting table.

Yeesh, Been A While...

Been a non-starter of a year for me, thanks to work and general life. Sucks, because I have people waiting on me to get stuff painted for them - Jacob at Ral Partha Legacy for one. I managed to get a couple big pieces done for him, just so he doesn't have to wait forever to get something. By the way, Jacob Fathbruckner is a top-shelf, patient guy and you should buy tons of miniatures from him.

The cannon was fun to paint. The tiny crew? Less fun.

First off, here's a steam cannon with human crew. Once I figured out how to assemble it, I really liked painting the cannon itself. The crew, on the other hand, were a bit of a chore as old RP sculpts are SUPER tiny compared to today's miniatures. On top of that, my eyes aren't quite up to the task anymore (see older post with glasses), so I regretfully have to forgo things like eyes on most of these - in fact, only the leader has them as the sculpt has larger, accessible eyes. Still, happy with how they turned out, despite how crappy the picture looks (also see older posts concerning my inability to take good pictures. The camera on my Galaxy 21 is a pox...)

What's worse than a bunch of goblins? Blurry goblins.

These got done too, and are kind of the reverse of the steam cannon - the crew and wolves went quick, but the chariots were tedious. Probably because of all the stuff I tacked onto them, like shields, weapons and heads. Me being me, I just couldn't glue them to the chariots - oh no, I had to PIN the suckers on (these tiny, tiny pieces). Worth it, as (once again) the models look great in real life over my pictures. I/m probably going to poach the pictures Jacob takes and put them up here later, just so I don't look so bad ;)

"But They Don't Live In A Cave..."

Tonight's offering is a set of Reaper's "Black Bear Clan" cavemen - plus one - for the game "Palaeo Diet - Eat or be Eaten" game.

L to R - Thug, Klunk, Ooga, Thunk, Ugh.

The "plus one" is, of course, a Citadel "Big Momma" barbarian girl (aka, Ooga). I found her while I was getting minis together for Palaeo Diet, and figured that she'd fit in well as an extra spear if needed. Naturally, she's a metal mini where the guys are all Reaper Bones Black.

"Werewolf?" "There wolf!"

Bones Black, as I may or may not have mentioned, is a vast improvement over original Bones, but it can still be a pig's ear to work with. As you can see, I left more than my usual share of mold lines on them, because they don't come off all that easy. Also, there is still a problem with warped parts, as seen with Ugh's spear. No matter how many hot water treatments it got, it still went back to the curved position.

A solo of Ooga, cos I liked how her face turned out.

A fun little diversion. Of course, I still have a lot of wildlife to paint and some appropriate scenery (including a warped - surprise, surprise - hut) as well, but this stuff is fairly quick and easy to paint. I'll also look to see if I have any other "Big Momma" figures that might work for the game (seriously, who at old Citadel came up with that name?).

"Klunk, yoo idgit!"

Well, time to get on my backlog of commission work for Ral Partha Legacy - work and such was keeping me from getting that stuff done, but now I better get cracking!

Chaos Amazon

...or Kinky Chaosette, if you wanna be nasty.

/Janet Jackson

The Hair that ate Marienburg

Here she is, Michael Perry's Chaos Amazon/Amazonia Gothique/Kinky Chaosette, painted as a Champion of Khorne (naturally) and a shield design that came out of nowhere. I didn't really want to do the usual asymmetrical demon face shield that you usually see given this mini, but I wanted to try something challenging.

Needless to say, unless you've been living under a rock (or just not into gaming miniatures - so why are you here? :P), you know that this figure was based off of John Blanche's excellent "Amazonia Gothique" painting.

The face of a woman who is not worried about you.

Supposedly this is a rare-ish mini (recasters aside). Having said that, I really don't remember when/where I got this one. I got her a long time ago, but surely not way back in the 80s when she was sculpted, so not part of the White Dwarf promotion. Ah well, I guess it is a mystery.

A year or two ago, Games Workshop released a special character for the new Necromunda that is heavily based on this miniature.

Strong family resemblance.

...yeah, I really need to get her too. Probably paint her the same way, as well.

A last shot of her against an experimental canvas painted by the missus:

Seems fitting!

Hmmmmmmm, just learned that Hasslefree has been working on this one too...

Yes, please, I'll take two!

Just Boosting Post Count - Nothing to See Here...

Here are some quick quickies - Reaper Bones "Wall of Fire" spell effects. I mostly put them together with "Paleo Diet - Eat or Be Eaten" in mind, but could be used for anything.

Heheheheheh, Fire! FIRE!

Simple enough, really - slap translucent flame on 40mm wooden disks that I've had forever, flock, partially paint flock black, attempt OSL and DONE. Might get a pack or two more (three per $5 pack - decent enough) depending on how pyromanic the players with torches get.

More Turd Polishing

 Easy stuff this time.

To start - I really like Reaper Miniatures and their crazy-ass offerings, but I never really could get behind their Bones line. For sure, the material has improved to the point that it little resembles the bendy unworkable crap that it once was, but it still has issues that annoy the hell out of me - not being able to use spray primer/sealer on them being a big one. Warped spears, swords, etc. being a close second.

Bless their hearts though; Reaper has put a LOT of effort in promoting the Bones line, even resorting to giving them away by the handful (especially true of the early white ones). Swag bags, paint-n-take tables, you name it.

Naturally, this lands me with miniatures that I'd never buy and have no idea what to do with them. Here, that is realized in the following two miniatures, a couple of sea hag types (the tall one has a name like Mags Grindylow or summat). These sat in a parts box for a loooong time until I started reading Robert Howard's original Conan stories. I always loved that a lot of his supranational entities were often vague shadows, sometimes with animalistic characteristics (the critters in "The Phoenix on the Sword" and "The Scarlet Citadel" are a little like this).

Hey, says I - rather than try to paint these bendy, low detail bits of nonsense with a good paint job, why not paint them black with a couple indifferent drybrushings and call it a day? And if I feel REALLY frisky, I can use OSL on their glowing eyes...

Something something bad photos

I probably did the most work on prep with these things - attempt to remove mold lines, base them and (in the case of Mags), cut off the S-shaped trident pole and affix it directly to her arm, rather than use her low-detail empty fist. Some first time attempts at OSL for the eyes (Mags was the second attempt and far better), and that's it. Probably 30 minutes paint time each, blindingly fast for me.

Boring butts

Hah, yeah, bad pics again. These are a lot darker in reality than here. But now I have a couple shadowy minions for any game I care to use them in. Not bad for a couple of hopeless throwaway-level figures!

Big Booby Ballista Batallion

(Or, why you should always make sure your pictures don't suck before you pack up the miniatures.)

As life feels to be on a more even keel these days, I have been making more time for hobby work. A couple months ago, I reached out to Jacob at Ral Partha Legacy to see if he needed any miniatures painted for their website. As it turned out, he did and had quite a list of miniatures to choose from. One of the first sets to catch my eye (of course) was the Amazon ballista and crew. I say "of course" because these ladies (sculpted by Tom Meier) are quite noticeable due to their exaggerated female proportions (they have big boobs for the thickies in back).

And I do mean exaggerated.

Odd really - I bought a blister pack of Amazons from the OG Ral Partha a lifetime ago, and they had very athletic (downright skinny) forms, and were nude (these were also sculpted by Meier). Somewhere along the line, someone looked at these and said, "no, there proportions will not do. Tom, get the sculpting putty out - you're putting in overtime."

Originals on the left, Heroic Scale on the right.

SOMEone's got a fetish. Not complaining, mind you, just pointing it out.

As RP Legacy gives you copies of the miniatures you paint upon successful completion, this is a really good deal. I mostly wanted the two ballistae that come with the 6 crewwomen, but I will certainly find a place for the ladies themselves - probably in a Dragon Rampant army.

Thanks to my weird schedule, extra shifts and the hell of being on call often, it took me about 1 1/2 months to finish them. They really don't look all that bad either, even after a near-disastrous experiment with bronze armor. Couldn't do the eyes though - Meier miniatures are teeny and they have helmets on. After I finished, I took a bunch of pictures for Jacob to see that I was done, boxed them up and sent them on their way.

Then I looked at the pictures.

UGH.

This is amateur hour, folks.

I bought a new photo box from Reaper miniatures recently. Pretty nice really - even has a built-in light strip. Word of advice, never use the light strip. Harsh, ugly light, washes the colors out and makes their surfaces looks super rough. Their armor doesn't even look metallic FFS.

I post these not to harm my readers, but to remind myself to tear out the damn light strip.

Always gotta show the butts.

So yeah - check the pics before packing.

I took one of the backs of the ballistae without the lights for some reason - so much better and closer to reality...

Ballistae Butts.

ANYways - once Jacob get the miniature back form me, we'll see if I want to do more for him (I do - there is a ratling artillery set and some troglodytes that have my eye), and I'll get copies of these girls and their engines of destruction. The Amazons will probably be painted up the same way as here, but they'll all get spears to hold (I think these are meant to be "artillery tools". I painted the stubby spears up like the ballista bolts to designate those girls as the loaders.) The ballistae will be generic for whatever army/game needs them.

Last note - Meier sculpted the Amazons themselves, no clue who sculpted the ballista. Whoever it was, that person is on "Gitkikka's List Of People Wot Need To Be Spanked", just for sculpting all those damn studs!

Caramon the Rabid

My latest puttering is also my most favorite classic Chaos Champion that GW ever put out - some might know him as Chaos Champion #14, but to me he'll always be Caramon the Rabid, leader of the Skullrippers.

Badass.

Scary fella, no? His name comes from the "armies on parade" section of Realm of Chaos - Slaves to Darkness, where several champion miniatures and their warbands were painted up and given names/backstories. This Jes Goodwin sculpt was called Caramon the Rabid, and the name has stuck in my head ever since.

His original paint scheme is a bit...eclectic...

As you can see, I did keep the face on the daemon weapon green, as it seems to be traditional (just about every version of this guy I've seen has it in green).

The disturbing color for the tail is intentional.

Yay, Chaos!

Fukkit, Have Some Crazy Space Bondage Elves

Nothing special, just most of a team of Dark Eldar Wyches for my Teams Arena of blood project. you'll see that the Hellion isn't in the picture, because I haven't figured out how I want to paint it yet...

Freaks, the lot of 'em

As you can see, I was originally going to have them photographed on the AoB mat that came with White Dwarf, but my ineptitude with photography got the better of me - try as I might, they looked too yellow in the pictures! I do know that adding white helps fix this problem, so I went the shittiest route possible and slapped a white piece of plasticard in there. It helped, at least. ;)

Things leaned from this batch -

- Sculptors really need to not put eyebrows on 28mm scale miniatures. Two of these guys had brows that I just couldn't paint as flesh and be done with it, so I did them up as hairy brows. The result is pretty awful.

- The Wych Succubus makes a great Beastmaster, what with that whip.

- Drybrushing has made it into my heart once again.

Not much else to say - no time to really figure out better pictures with school breathing down my neck. At least I got something done!

A G-g-g-g-ghost!

MRI school is hard. Only having one day off a week sucks (and I have to study on that one day off).

Here's some easy-assed ghosts.

Plastic GW spirit hosts. MASSIVE pain in the ass to assemble (which is why you only get one this time). I didn't take the highlights up to white, as I feel that it makes them look more "opaque" instead of ethereal. I used a glaze of ancient but still very good Citadel yellow ink on their upper faces and arms to give them a little glow and add some visual interest - I stole this idea from one of the blogs I follow. If it works, it works!

Late For Gnollvember

As usual, I paint something and then forget to blog it. In this case, I painted up a trio of gnolls for the "Gnollvember" thing from the Ral Partha Harag Skullsmasher and his Gnoll Raiders box set that came out in the early '90s. I didn't care much about them being gnolls (although they have become one of my favorite humanoid monsters over the years), but I was certainly excited about using them in my 2nd Edition WH40K Chaos army as a unit or two of Khornegor - that is, beastmen aligned to the Chaos god, Khorne.

Yes, I know gnolls are basically hyena-men, and hyenas are felids, not canids but work with me here...

Yep, ol' Harag has a bolt pistol. Better than the tiddly dagger he was originally waving around.
In actuality, I painted these in December instead of No(Gnoll)vember. Oh well, I don't really keep up with internet painting fads.

25 years old, and these are still very nice miniatures. Good size, detailing that one would expect from Partha stuff; the only real letdown is the meh poses that seemed to plague the Battlesystem sets (and again, Partha in general). The gnoll box has 17 minis in it - one leader (Harag), one flind shaman (who looks like a Mardi Gras drag queen), and 15 mooks, in 3 different sculpts. As seen in the photos, I chose two in my favorite sculpt. the third is in a weird crouching, jazz-hand pose that I'm going to need to work a bit for it to look decent.

Freehand shield. No Free Willies.
I didn't like the integrated bases, so I trimmed them a bit to fit into some 32mm bases from Wrath of Kings and am fairly pleased with the result. I don't care about tournaments or any real "official" gaming, so I'm not to fussed about the size or shape. They're big enough to justify the base size, so even better. Sadly, they will never see a game of 2nd edition painted (yes, yes, I was a horrible person who used unpainted miniatures in his games) as I don't have a copy any more. Rogue Trader edition, however I do have, along with the StD book.

"Oh, ARSE!!"
Edit: Ok, so I don't know WTF I did to the format here, so this post is just gonna look weird...

Edit, edit: Forgot to mention - these are the first miniatures that I painted wearing my new reader glasses. I feel that there is a HUGE improvement in the quality of my work over the stuff done in the past year or so. It took me a while to get used to them (still not, really) which is why these gnolls took a while to finish. Wearing glasses is uncomfortable to me, but I can't argue with the results.

THESE FOOKIN' THINGS

So Wot's Gitkikka Bin Doin', Den?

Good question. Been a while, my dear imaginary viewers!

Unfortunately, I have had a crapton of things come down in life over the past few months, and they have kicked my desire to paint right out of me. Truth be told, I have started at least 4 different projects, but I ended up stalling out on each of them. Part of the problem might be the fact that I am now using readers to paint, and it's not been easy to adjust to them.Hopefully, there will be a noticeable improvement in my finished products, but as usual, I'd just be happy with decent jobs done quickly.

Now, if this was the only issue, I'd have shamed myself into finishing at least one project, but when it rains, it pours. My job (Radiologic Technologist, a.k.a. X-ray tech) is kind of kicking my ass these days. Over a month ago, my ankle started aching to walk on - still able to walk, but had to limp. With a brace and a doctor's unhelpful advice of "Keep off of it!", I persevered. At least until all the limping caused my hip to start aching too.

Lovely.

For the past couple weeks, I have been taking it as easy as possible, meaning no sitting at a desk for too long, and keeping my hip rested and happy. Of course, my three 12-hour work days would roll around and mess up the process all over again (that, and I'm incapable of sitting idle for too long. I managed to install the flooring and baseboards in my bedroom at the beginning of the month, as well as move and reassemble all the stupid, heavy-assed furniture that my wife insisted that we needed. That was an agonizing few days...)

But, I pushed through. Things are healing and feeling better. Realizing that I'm not so young any more, I finally started the process of applying for MRI school, which should keep me off me feet better than being a RadTech. Seriously, this is my day for 12 hours  - take X-rays in the ER. Now run upstairs with a portable and x-ray some fat-arse's pelvis and risk destroying my back. Now back to the ER. Now run up to surgery and stand around for a few hours, taking shots for the surgeon. (truth be told, surgery is my favorite part of my job. I wear about 10 to 15 pounds of lead gear for protection, which strains my back, but it beats giving barium enemas any day).

But my life isn't all whine-worthy. Certain unbloggable things are changing/have changed in my life, one of the results of which is that I finally get to take over the front office room in the house as my hobby area! Yaaaassss. Now that I'm feeling better physically, I'm slowly moving the stuff out of that room, and moving my stuff in. Unfortunately, the office was being used as general junk storage for a year and a half or so, so it's going to take a while (so an even longer interlude from painting. It will be so very worth it, though...

Where Da Swamp is now.

Looks cosy, ya? Sure, except I am standing in the kitchen to take this picture. The white door leads to the garage, and to the left, out of frame is the back door to the yard, and the living room passage is further left from that. In short, I'm in the middle of everything here, and don't get the peace and quiet I like from a work area. Plus, being wide open like this means that the cats are constantly fucking with stuff, as well as getting hair all over my work table.

Where Da Swamp is going.

This used to be my wife's office area, mostly needed when she was a massage therapist. She let that lapse when she became a full-time nurse, so this lovely little space (which is really about the same size as the current area, it just has 2 more walls) was being misused as crap storage. She always does her paperwork and bills at the kitchen table, so this room wasn't even used for that. So now dis old troll is swooping in. Of course, I'm not being helped by anybody so it's going to be a while before I'm up to production speed.

Hopefully a faster speed than previously...

Now, if I could really have my way, I'd leave TX entirely, but that's getting into the unbloggable territory. Gotta take those victories where you can!

PDF Tarantula

Almost didn't post this one - this pair of miniatures gave me all sorts of shit during the painting process (see "Sometimes We Hate Our Children"), and I couldn't get a decent picture of them no matter what I did. Yes, yes, I'm still using my phone camera; but the Galaxy S9 takes good pictures of everything ELSE, just not my miniatures.

As much as I wanted to dump these assholes back in the Drawer of Shame, I'm trying to push forward with the "Fuck it - Just finish" mentality, just to say I'm getting shit done.

So here you go, imaginary reader - a dual lascannon Tarantula with operator for my Planetary Defence Force (of planet Frumunda):

Pictures like this just make me want to quit the whole thing...

Markings place this unit in 7th Regement, B Company, 2nd Platoon

Black and blue? Why not? Back in 1989, this color scheme was going to be for my Imperial Guard army, which I shelved after painting an entire squad worth. (I really hate painting large amounts of black, it turns out.) About 5 years ago, I started another IG army out of the now OOP Wargames Factory Greatcoat soldiers (also shelved), so I just said that these old Guard guys were going to be part of a PDF somewhere, probably with a Squat force attached as allies (it all counts as a Guard force, games-wise).

The Tarantula itself came into my possession loooong ago, partially broken and caked in green paint. The operator only had a couple areas painted on him, so he wasn't in bad shape. You may notice that the parts that hold the lascannons are a little shorter than they were when the model was new - that's because the broken part had to be trimmed down, so I did that to both sides so they matched.

I had to drag out one of the finished guys so that I had a reference:

So yeah - new paint job vs. 30 year old one

 - he's from the 1st platoon though.

Sometimes, I think I was a little better back then...

Troops That Battle - Draconis Combine Officer

Another quick slapping-on of paint - this time a teeny-weeny Battletroops miniature from Ral Partha. Way back when the game came out (1989 or so), I bought into it pretty hard; the original rules, the Clantroops (Clans, *puke*) expansion, and both boxed sets of miniatures, Kurita and Steiner. Well, my group and I played about three games and decided we didn't like it, so into the footlocker of shame they went.

Nostalgia being a thing, I recently dug the miniatures out and decided to actually paint one, just to see how the uniforms as presented in the sourcebooks look in 3-D. The Draconis Combine (House Kurita) being my absolutely favorite successor state in the Battletech is what pushed to choose this guy. That, and the Steiner uniforms are hideous.

Officer with SMG. Three blue stripes
denote a Lieutenant.

Now, the descriptions in the sourcebook describe the undersuit as being tan, but the pictures all show it as being a closer-to-orange color. Interestingly, I have an old Ceramcoat paint that is almost an exact match.

From FASA's House Kurita Sourcebook, circa 1987

It has been a good long while since I painted something with the tiny scale/proportions of a Ral Partha mini. Going from chunky Citadel to this was a great challenge to my poor old eyes - needless to say, the paint job is a bit, er, abstract, and I didn't even think about HIS eyes.

How 'bout that scale creep?

One thing we never tried in the three games we played was to use the rules for 'Mechs in Battletroops. Yes, 'Mechs. In an infantry game. Not too sure if we were worried about how hard that would be, or if we were just bored by the fact that the 'Mech is represented by a flat, square templare. Yaawwnn. Me being a dumb-assed kid at the time didn't realize that I had a few 'Mech models at my disposal in the form of Robotech toys (which I e-bayed off quite a while ago ;/). Nostalgia still continuing to be a thing, I recently bought a little buddy to go with my Battletroop miniatures, should I decide to continue with them:

"It's behind me, isn't it?"
Extreeem zoom-out! Ignore the minis
behind the curtain.
Yay! Another large-scale painting project! D:

;)
